- CancerHelp UK is the patient information website of Cancer Research UK. It provides a free web-based cancer information service for anyone affected by cancer.
- INVOLVE is a national advisory group, funded through the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). Its role is to support and promote active public involvement in NHS, public health and social care research.
- Cancer Research UK has launched Cancer Chat - a free discussion forum for people affected by cancer.
- The National Cancer Research Institute (NCRI) is a UK-wide partnership between the government, charity and industry which promotes co-operation in cancer research among the 21 member organisations for the benefit of patients, the public and the scientific community.
- The National Cancer Research Network (NCRN) was established in April 2001, and aims to provide the NHS with an infrastructure to support high quality cancer clinical studies and to improve the speed, quality and integration of research resulting in improved patient care.
