The Leicester ECMC will develop novel phytochemicals for cancer prevention/treatment and new monoclonal antibodies primarily for haematological malignancies. A series of novel biomarkers will be developed to aid early detection of cancer, predict the likelihood of benefiting from treatment and to monitor the effectiveness of chemopreventive agents, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

Expertise in chemoprevention agent discovery; development and clinical trials; biomarker development for chemoprevention agent assessment; assay development for radiation sensitivity and prediction of chemotherapy benefit.
