Goals

Goals and Objectives

  • Increasing the number of patients who can enter into early phase clinical studies
  • Improve the feasibility and quality of research on primary human tissue in the areas of immunotherapy and gene therapy, translational genetics and biomarkers.
  • Increase in recruitment to current immunotherapy and gene therapy trials.
  • Introduction of new trials - aim to perform at least 2 new gene therapy and 2 new immunotherapy trials over the next five years.
  • Recruitment to novel clinical trials developing from local research programmes in genetic and epigenetic mechanisms of cancer.
  • Active biomarkers research programme based on access to primary tissue.
  • Provision of biorepository, fully compliant with HTA, which serves local research teams.
  • Peer review publication of research outputs sponsored by ECMC
  • Interaction with other ECMC centres to add value to ECMC investment.
