Goals

Goals and Objectives

The centre will build upon its expertise in the areas of immune therpay for cancer and the pursuit of novel molecular therapy. It will continue to unite laboratory and clinical research teams to make treatments from pre-clinical to clinical testing, support quality control and measurement of complex biological readouts.

Selling points/offer wider network

  • We are keen to develop further and to enhance our collaboration with other centres interested in early phase I/II immunotherapeutic and small molecule based studies and to develop joint projects spanning two or more centres.
  • We are in a position to undertake dendritic cell vaccine trials in our MHRA accredited facility and are keen to exploit this resource further in collaborative work.
  • We have developed key expertise in performing and validation of cellular and humoral assays for clinical trials usage. We have a range of multiplex platforms for the detection of cytokines in both human and murine settings and are now developing multiparameter FACS assays to extend the range of validated tools.
  • We are developing a network for the development and subsequent validation for immunological endpoint assays, in which we would welcome collaborations to share expertise and procedures.
