Imaging Group
Launched at the end of January 2010, this group aims to share imaging experience and expertise across the ECMC Network, to publish guidelines on QC and minimum reporting requirements and to encourage the coordination and standardisation of imaging in early phase multi-centre trials.
The ECMC Imaging Steering Committee is working with Workstream 3 (stimulating early phase research using PET) of the NCRI PET Initiative to ensure collaboration between both initiatives. The overall purpose of the NCRI PET Research Initiative is to stimulate and support the build-up of a UK research programme in PET that is novel in approach and relevant to the uses of PET in the clinic and in translational research. The aim is to identify the appropriate use of PET in the health system as a whole. To this end, the initiative's role is to be discerning and not to act indiscriminately as an advocate for PET.
