ECMC Cross-Centre Placement Scheme

The ECMC Cross-Centre Placement scheme is now open for applications. The aim of this scheme is to encourage dissemination of knowledge and new collaborations across the network. This scheme provides travel, accommodation, and sustenance costs for individuals supported by the ECMC to train/shadow at other ECMC sites or for initial collaboration meetings across the network.

Who can apply?

Short term placements (1 day – 3 weeks)

  • Those who work within and/or are supported through the ECMC network.

The scheme should not be used for:

  • Continued project specific collaboration after initial meetings.
  • Collaboration/travel costs for projects that are part of the Translational Research Forum (as there is separate funding for this purpose).
  • Travel and accommodation costs associated with ECMC meetings and conferences.
  • Travel and accommodation costs associated with non-ECMC meetings and conferences.
  • PhD students are not eligible for this scheme.
  • Patient and public involvement representatives are not eligible for this scheme. However, if you would like to explore a cross-centre learning opportunity, please contact ecmcadmin@cancer.org.uk to discuss this further.
