Successful nursing in a Phase I environment training day
The ECMC Research Nurse Network Group Steering Committee runs a training day for new early phase research nurses: Successful nursing in a Phase I environment. This training day is for research nurses who have been working in early phase cancer research for around 3 to 18 months. The aim of this course is to equip new early phase research nurses to deliver high quality, patient-centred care within the regulatory framework. All delegates receive a booklet which contains information to support them in their role. The training day itself is very interactive, allowing for plenty of discussion on all aspects of being a research nurse working on early phase trials. The steering committee members wrote a booklet to support the training day which can also be downloaded here. The booklet does not contain all of the information that you will need working in early phase cancer research. However, if you attend the training day you will hear from other research nurses working in this area (both experienced and new), find out about how research trials are run at their sites, and the issues and challenges they overcome.
The next running of Successful nursing in a Phase I environment is to be agreed. If you would like to be notified about this training day and other ECMC nurse related information then sign-up to the ECMC Research Nurse Network Group here.
