Haematology Network Group
This group brings together clinical and translational researchers across the UK to accelerate early-phase research in blood cancers.
Scope of membership
The Haematology Network Group welcomes participation from:
clinicians working in acute myeloid leukaemia, acute lymphoblastic leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, myelodysplastic syndromes, and transplant/CAR-T programmes
translational research teams including immunology, flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, single-cell and spatial biology, and immunogenomics
laboratory groups contributing to biomarker development, immune monitoring, and early-phase trial science
programme office representatives and industry partners contributing to relevant research initiatives
Remit
The group focuses on collaborative development of innovative therapeutics, standardised translational assays, and shared biomarker and biobanking approaches across our centres. Current priorities include immunotherapy (CAR-T, bispecific antibodies), novel targeted agents, biomarker development, and harmonisation of sample processing for multicentre studies.
Provide a focus for representation of haematological cancer-related issues within the wider network.
Foster multicentre collaboration in haematology early-phase research.
Support harmonisation of translational assays (e.g. T cell, CAR-T flow, immune profiling).
Develop shared biomarker and biobanking strategies, including aligned standard operating procedures and metadata standards.
Facilitate scientific exchange with industry partners exploring novel therapeutics.
Highlight opportunities for trainees and encourage cross-centre participation.
Provide a forum to share emerging translational science and identify future collaborative funding or project pathways.
