Junior Investigator Network Group

This group brings together and supports the career development of junior investigators across all disciplines of translational research within our network.

Join this group

Scope of membership

Any early-career researcher who wants to become an independent investigator can be a member.

We welcome clinical researchers who want to specialise in a cancer-relevant field. Non-clinical researchers can also join from the final year of their PhD.

This group supports junior investigators up to the point of completing their first programme, project or grant. After that, members will be invited to join the Junior Investigators Alumni to support and mentor new members.

Remit

  • Establish a peer network of junior investigators from across clinical and scientific backgrounds.

  • Identify and address common training, progression and development needs for junior investigators and link up with current training or schemes on offer.

  • Provide career support for making the transition to become an independent researcher.

  • Increase awareness of our network with junior investigators.

  • Promote collaboration between junior investigators to build links and future collaborations within our network.

Really exceeded expectations. The entire programme was interactive with huge amounts of valuable feedback from a variety of experts in the field.
