Scope of membership
The group provides a collaborative space for clinicians, researchers, nurses, and other healthcare professionals working in or interested in early-phase TYA cancer care.
It meets virtually three to four times a year and is open to anyone working in TYA research.
Remit
Increase access to clinical trials and biobanking for TYA patients.
Share ongoing projects, initiatives, and developments in the TYA research and clinical trials landscape to raise awareness of TYA-focused research.
Discuss challenges and opportunities in TYA cancer care.
Strengthen collaboration across our network and beyond.
Steering committee
A dedicated steering committee guides the direction and activities of the group.
The steering committee is made up of seven clinicians and research nurses working in TYA cancer and one patient representative with lived experience of TYA cancer.

TYA Advisory Group
We also have an advisory group made up of TYA cancer specialists from various disease-specific multidisciplinary teams. The group provides an online forum to discuss complex cases with expert clinicians in real time, identify suitable trials and explore the most appropriate treatment or trial referral pathways.
TYA clinical research roadmap
We developed a roadmap that sets out how we can improve access to clinical trials and outcomes for teenagers and young adults affected by cancer.
