ECMC network strategy: February 2022 update

The experimental cancer medicine centres (ECMC) network strategy was approved by the ECMC funders at the end of 2022. The strategy has been developed in partnership with members of the ECMC network and stakeholders including industry, regulators and ECMC funders. The three focus areas of the strategy are:

• accelerated innovative translational research

• globally competitive research delivery

• increased patient centred and accessible research

This strategy builds on the achievements of the network and provide direction for even greater impact in the future. Over the next year the ECMC programme office will continue to engage with the ECMC network and other stakeholders to work on:

• driving implementation of the strategy

• refining the network’s evaluation framework

• embedding collaborative ways of working
