The ECMC network is working hard to streamline site selection

Introducing: the experimental cancer medicine centres (ECMC) network-level feasibility standard (NLFS)

Working in collaboration with the ECMC Centre Business Leads (CBL) Forum and industry partners, the ECMC programme office is thrilled to announce the creation of our network-level feasibility standard (NLFS).

The NLFS centralises the capabilities, expertise, knowledge and infrastructure of all ECMC's, which are key for performing early phase oncology clinical trials.

This exciting new resource will be offered to sponsors and industry partners during our expression of interest process, with the key objective to reduce the duplication of effort that occurs from repetition of general queries in sponsor feasibility surveys. Sponsors can utilise this resource to self-populate their feasibility surveys, prior to approaching ECMC sites with study-specific queries only. To ensure the success of the NLFS, we ask that our ECMC CBLs direct sponsors to the document, should they submit non-study specific queries.

This resource is a key asset in achieving the network’s strategic goal of accelerating the set-up for early-phase trials. The resource will be updated annually, and impact will be measured through feedback from the ECMC CBL Forum on trial set-up and from sponsors on their use of the resource.
